Why I Created Alyn

Hi, I’m Ali — mom of the three great loves of my life, therapist, photographer, lover of light and meaning, and the founder of Alyn Wellness.

This space has been on my heart for a long time — though it didn’t have a name for many years. It lived more as a feeling: a soft pull toward something that didn’t quite exist yet. A vision of what could be possible if we created spaces for healing that truly felt like home. I feel so grateful that this dream came to fruition, and that one of the first things many people say when they come through the door is “it feels like home.”

Like so many people drawn to this work, my journey began in the depths of my own story. I was introduced to meditation by my mom at three years old (one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given), and I’ve carried a deep reverence for presence and inner work ever since. But life, of course, offers its own curriculum — one that led me through deep grief and loss, a sense of disconnection from my own wisdom, and the slow and sacred path of cultivating self-trust and inner (and outer!) strength.

Over the years, I found healing in therapy, in creativity, in community, and in the quiet rituals of motherhood. I am a person deeply impacted by my environment, and honestly, I think we all are. I longed to create a space where people could breathe deeply, feel held, and reconnect with the rhythms of their own body and soul.

That longing became Alyn.

Alyn is more than a studio or a wellness space — it’s a community home for helpers and healers. A place where practitioners can do their work in alignment with their values. Where the space itself supports nervous system regulation, creativity, and connection. Where healing can unfold gently, intuitively, and without pretense.

The name Alyn comes from four guiding words: Awaken, Love, Yield, Nurture. These are the qualities we hope people feel in our spaces — whether attending a class, receiving care, or simply pausing in the quiet.

This isn’t just a business to me — it’s a living, breathing expression of what I believe is possible when we build with intention, invite in community, and trust our own knowing. I created Alyn for all of us who’ve been longing for a softer, more soulful way to do this work.
